Absolute Beginner - questions about multiroom audio

Hello everyone,

I'm an absolute beginner with home automation and starting from 0, so please don't hang me for my noob questions!
In order to get things starting, i decided to first built a multi room audio system, which should be controlled through Domoticz.

And now things are getting complicated for me :D

- what kind of speakers do i need? I have found these JAM rhythm WIFI speakers which seems to have a very nice price, but will they be suitable for "home automation" integration?

- or do i need some kind of server/player infrastructur with suitable speakers? I have read alot about LMS for example.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I am not familiar with this brand. Wifi alone could be not enough, you need a platform that you can interact with.
If you are able to cast to it it can be doable. Like chromecast integration (=google home)

It is not the easiest thing to start with :)

Seems that there is no API available for these speakers.
What would be the best bang for the buck then? Get some passive speakers and connect them with a raspberry with squeezebox on?
Any recommendations how to start? :?

I really like the LMS system, pretty open API
I use 2x raspberry pi with hifiberry Amp and a squeezebox classic.
