Hello all ,
I have a RPi and connected a DHT11 sensor, in the beginning all looks fine but after a day and you check the "lines" its goes all up and down
Im a bit of a noob still and i dont see where it can go wrong....
its the "only" sensor i got hooked up to the pi,
Powersupply is official for the Pi 3b+
It worked oke for a a while
DHT11 goes nuts :)

Apperantly zero values are transmitted or..... connection is lost and values are not received ?
First Question, how long is the cable between sensor and RPI ? Did you apply the resistor as well at the end of the cable ?

Hello,
The cable are about 15cm from breadboard, and the DHT11 is mounted on a small print and no extra restistor is needed ( according the informaton of the item ) Its not "really" this item but it looks like this, with a red led.
Sometimes it works great for hours and otherwise it behaves like the first picture. Maybe i just need to buy a DHT22, they seems to be a lot better
ty in advance

Looks like somewhere an 'intermittent'' contact:
checking of the cabling may be the solution.
If you want real improvement relative to DHT11, take BME280 as sensor:
provides temperature, humidity and pressure of much better quality.

Set1 = RPI-Zero+RFXCom433+S0PCM+Shield for BMP180/DS18B20/RS485+DDS238-1ZNs
Set2 = RPI-3A++RFLinkGTW+ESP8266s+PWS_WS7000
Common = KAKUs+3*PVLogger+PWS_TFA_Nexus
plus series of 'satellites' for dedicated interfacing, monitoring & control.
