Hello,

I would like to buy a new receiver or amplifier that can easily by controlled with my Domoticz. It should at least be shut down, have volume control and switch input or/and radio channels.

Does that exist? What systeem is best/easy compatible for domoticz control?

Thank you guys for any advice.

I have an onkyo receiver, all models since 2013? are very well supported by the onkyo python plugin from this forum.

Thanks Jake, will cetrainly consider Onkyo!

Do Sonos systems integrate well with Domoticz?
Maybe some systems also include certain features with voice-control.
Would be awesome to combine some functionality in 1 device.

Does anyone else have good experiences?

Hey,

I have an Onkyo TX-NR414 and it integrates perfectly, offering switches for main power, a selector for input source, volume control, as well as Power and Source for Zone 2.

I also have a Sonos set up. You can somewhat trigger your system by installing this, and then creating switches to trigger the URLs.

https://github.com/jishi/node-sonos-http-api

One example I’ve made is when my LightwaveRF door bell button is pressed, a virtual switch runs the URL to do a ‘clipall’ Which plays an MP3 file on all speakers as a group, then returns them to their each individual state (continuing to play music if any of them were).

Currently trying to add my Onkyo into the mix here as I have a Sonos Connect plugged into it, and want the amp to power on (if needed) change source to the Sonos, and then if needed change back to what it was on.

But this is a great tool to have installed if you have Sonos!
