All-in-one hardware solution

Dear reader,
Me and two business partners want to create a hardware platform to run open source software on right out of the box. No more fiddling yourself trying to make everything compatible. However, we first want to poll whether or not the core users are interested in such a solution. Please leave your vote at:

We already have plans laid out, but before we really start to invest we first need to know if our core audience is as excited as us!
All feedback and ideas are welcome!

Can you tell little bit more ?

We want a complete solution for the open-source community. This by developing a ready-made device that supports the most common protocols and is suitable for almost all open-source solutions. This means that the end user can choose his own software and is not tied to anything.

If you actually want people to get on board this idea, you need to tell us a lot more than that.

The looks are nice, but I also have questions:
-What screen size will be used?
-What resolution?
-Touchscreen?
-Z-Wave and zigbee hardware compatible with Domoticz already?
-How is power supplied to this device?
-POE support?
-Price target?
-What OSes are supported?
-Camera for motion detection?
-Light sensor to dim backlight?
-What external connections are available? (wired network / USB / serial / .. )
-Google home (voice) support?

Maybe for some people 433mhz and 868mhz support?
MQTT Server
Homekit
Amazon Alexa
Google Assistant
etc?
Can you install stuff yourself using ssh?

I'd certainly be interested in something like this.
I think it would also need RF (433MHz for me) included too alongside Z-Wave, etc. Not sure of the need for Bluetooth, but if it has it then that's a bonus guess.
I'm presuming you're thinking of this as a HA server, hidden somewhere rather than an on-display controller?
It would need WiFi and Ethernet connectivity.
Another key thing for me would be what happens if/when things go wrong? How do you back it up and how do you swap it out for something else? Today, it's quite easy to have Domoticz running on a Pi, and if that goes down you swap in another Pi and move the SD card across - job done - cheap and easy.
Price would also be key - if you're competing against home grown solutions then you need to be comparable to compete. If I can get a Pi, Z-Wave stick, RFXcom, etc then I wouldn't want to pay much more for this.
Software support will also be key - I presume it would be ARM based? Need to make sure it's compatible with Domoticz and other solutions like HABridge, python, MQTT, ...

hardware platform to run open source software on right out of the box
That statement is 'too general':
it covers 'everything you can imagine', and

that is usually too much.
For the engineers/technicians which must develop & maintain such device, it means a "can full of worms" .........
On the other side, the Customers do not know what they buy.
Better first to define
as reference the
framework with first major applications which have been foreseen,
plus the
general direction of the
intended path of growth ........

I am interested, but think that the markt is not there for it.
All things are in it?, like;
-wifi
-zwave
-zigbee
-433
-868
- and what more.
Not everybody needs al those things, but it is in the product. The buyer needs to pay for it, what they don't use.
To put all those protocols in it, will put the price higher.
The pi is ideal for domoticz. People can choose for the protocols they need, which keep the pricelow.
Look at homey. The same idea, but not cheap. Only screen is missing. Just my thoughed

What kind of storage are you planning to use? Preferably not sd-cards as Domoticz and HA kill them in time (at least on more intensively used systems)
