I'd like to offer to help improve the forum in terms of a new design, keeping it up to date, and helping to combat spam and the performance issues users are having.

I have some ideas, but would like to get in touch with the main admin of the forum, and those who manage it on a daily basis.

Is there any scope for having perhaps some graphical updates and a bit of a spring clean?

Well hooking up to an old thread, development wise why don't you install the extension "senky" Make things easy with copy paste pictures in to an topic instead of saving them first and then upload them. i'm using it on a couple of boards and this is a nice extension to use here.
