Incorrect temperatures, sudden high/low peaks

Post by vsail »

Hello

I recently installed Domoticz to control the temperature and humidity in a vacation cottage.

Problem is that the rtl-433 sometimes reports the temperature as very incorrect high or low.
I'm not sure why it happens, but it seems to be some kind of misinterpretation of the signal, or a contact somewhere in the system.
Please do see the attached screenshot below.

Is there any in-built system to smooth out such extreme gradients or peaks?
Like allowing only 1Celsius change between readings or similar, or maxing to that?
I'm up for coding that kind of feature, but first I'd like to know if that kind of setup exists already somewhere. (I couldn't find such with my searchwords)

I'm using version 4.9700

EDIT: Yes, it's possible to do such filtering through events, but it's cumbersome (and non-change-friendly) to turn multiple temperature sensors into virtual sensors and apply the smoothing in that process. I'd rather just limit the gradient on the first point in Domoticz.

EDIT2: This is happening with multiple temperature(/humidity) sensors.
