If have bought the Xiaomi Zero doorbell camera. With doorbell chime.

I have tried to get the 433mhz signal from the doorbell by RFXcom. but no luck.....
With my Kaku i have organized that when the doorbell is pressed a snapshot will be sent from another camera and the outside lights go on.

I would wish to maintain this.......

In the Mi Home app you can make a iftt script with the doorbell and other devices.

The Question:


When i buy a Xiaomi gateway would i be able to make a dummy switch in Domoticz??? Or do i have to buy a Xiaomi switch also with it to let it act as a dummy?
I guess the switch will show up in the Mi home app? or not?

BTW its a great little camera with good quality image.

I have got the camera setup running. And it's working with Domoticz in an unconventional way. Though it's not fully integrated in the Domoticz system.

It works in combination with the Xiaomi Gateway.



You have to set it up in the Xiaomi Home app.

In the Xiaomi Home app you can make a scene to turn on the Rgb light when the doorbell is pressed.
I have made a blocky to turn off the rgb after few seconds.
The status is changed in Domoticz so you can make your own scenes.

I have a second camera on the garage which makes pictures to send to Telegram.

The actual doorbell pictures you will receive on the app. It will stay on their server for a day but can download the pictures local.
It comes with a 1 year free trial of 7 days storage.

For me it works fine this way.

The image and sound quality is great with nice wide angle view and the face recognition works flawlessly.

Could you give some more information about this zero doorbell?

But you made a scene in the home app, which controls a RGB light.
Which RGB light do you mean? Is this a domoticz dummy or the RGB light from the gateway?

Do you use the RGB change as trigger for your blocky?
Is it possible to get the camera on your webbrowser. Or only tru the xiaomi home app?

The Xiaomi Gateway has a RGB nightlight which gives a status change in Domoticz. So you can create any scene you want in Domoticz.

In the Xiaomi Home app I have created a scene when the doorbell is pressed the rgb light on the Xiaomi gateway goes on.

I trigger the other camera on the garage to take extra pictures and turn the outside lights on when doorbell is pressed.

The actual doorbell pictures won't come through Domoticz you can communicate via the app and the pictures comes through.
