Solar data and consumption of converter

My Solar system has an converter that consumes approx. 2 Watt at night.
Those 2 Watts are negative in comparison with normal delivery.
The effect is that the graph in my case has an y-axis of -1k and that is a waist of space in the graph.
Does anyone have a solution to this phenomena?

Thats strange. I've checked my SolarEdge and that one goes into deep sleep when the sun goes down and doesn't use energy till i gets waken by sunlight.
Whats make/model is your converter, can it go into sleepmode? Or can you shutdown the hardware in domoticz based on sundown/sunrise?

Same here, no negative value, and also a SolarEdge HD converter.

I have a SolarEdge too.
Probably you get your data from the converter or from SolarEdge.
Then you get 0 Watts during night.
But of course those converters consume power when they are connected to mains.
I measure the current with some flows coils, and then you get the consumption of 2 Watts.
I get those data from Smappee every minute.
I will solve it in dzVents, if there is no other option.

Correct, that is what I use.

Understood, so your only option would be to "fix" the counter for the device and set it with each update to the old value when it is lower to the saved previous counter.

Ok thats clear. Need to shutdown my household first to check. Takes a steady 550W in the night, so never noticed.
Thanks for the headsup.,

500w?ouch, my base load at night is 100w or less. Might be worthwhile to check out. Prevented energy consumption is better than green energy generation.

Yep but cause is known. Little datacenter running here. So those 2 watt for the converter isn't that much.
However the DC still needs to scrink someday.
So yes stopping / turning off unnessesary devices is the first step now.
Anyway back onto topic: My converter has a groupswitch on its own. Have you tried to turn it off that way. Then it cant deliver and cannot use either.

Check if that option is not 'penny wise, Pound foolish'. One summer, during vacation, I pulled the plug of my Remeha boiler. When I plugged it after I came back, the motherboard was faulty and I had to buy a new mb.... Some electronics don't handle a switch off very well

In a way i agree, but this groypswitch is inserted for safety. So the mainboard of the converter should have been build to resist this kind of 'damage' which sgould be nothing.
As you just disconnect it from mains totally.
Your Remeha (i also happen to have the same brand

and living close to the factory itself ) isn't build to be disconnected constantly from mains. A case of bad luck for you unfortunatly. A 1 or 2 disconnects from mains a year should have left the mainboard working.

The boiler switch off was a one of, except for service. I agree it was bad luck, but since then I don't disconnect devices to save a few cents on energy saving. 2W might be 2or3 euro per year. 24hr/day.
