Problem connecting Evohome with Web API

Hello,
I am trying to connect my Domoticz (latest version on Raspberry Pi 3) to my Evohome installation (an extended Honeywell Evohome starterpack THR993RT)
My Honeywell is up and running in Belgium with the Honeywell Total Connect Control site.
I have an RFG100 connected to this installation, so I was hoping to control it with domoticz. I entered my login and password and the settings described on
www.domoticz.com/wiki/Evohome, but I get this error: problem adding hardware.
What am I doing wrong? How come the RFG can control my Evohome but my domoticz doesn't reach the Honeywell Total Connect Control site?
I am no pro, but i could try the other way of installing as described here: but are there any limitations?
I would at least like to be able to read out temperatures, but if control is possible, i would love that too.
Do i need to buy an extra HGI80?

Just found out i can add devices via API if i install Domoticz last stable version in Windows.
I am running beta version on Raspberry Pi...
Could this be the problem? Should i just downgrade my Pi?
Thanks for any advice

So, I still get the "problem adding hardware" error when i add my Evohome via web API.
Both in beta and stable version from my Pi3. Have no idea what causes the problem, no information is given.
My windows client can add the hardware.
So it must be an issue with Evohome web api for Domoticz on Pi.
Any toughts on how to resolve this?

DId you tick the box for 'allow new hardware for 5 mins' in the Domoticz web UI ?

So I can only add the Evohome is i do not fill in the password...
Off course that doensn't work, and I can add the zomes but they all say 0.
I have had it working in the past, but had to do a format of the sd card.
Now i am again having the same error, unless i do not fill in a password...
This is weird...

Is nobody else having this problem?
Feels like a bug. Can i do anything to debug this?
Could a different version of domoticz help?

I came across this topic since I was looking for an anwser about my Evohome link to Domoticz. However, lets look at your issue first. I'm a complete noob to domoticz, I only started yesterday. So in short what I did:
- Installed NOOBS software on raspberry pi 3
- Installed Domoticz and homebridge following the domoticz wiki
- Added my Evohome system to domoticz using the API option
I did not have any issues when adding this to the system, I checked all the boxes and logged in with my Evohome credentials. No errors whatsoever. So maybe I can help with cross checking the differences with your system?
So now my question: I added all devices in a roomplan so I can push all radiators via homebridge to homekit. This worked like a charm, I can see all the rooms in homekit, perfect! BUT: the big downside I see is when I change a temperature via homekit (or ask Siri to do it), the temperature is not changes temporary but it goes in a permanent change. I want it to change temperature just like when you would manually turn up or down the heater via the thermostat itself. In that case the temperature changes until the next programmed change is reached (the program in the evohome "hub"). Everytime I change a temperature via Siri, I need to remember to turn it off again, otherwise it would just keep heating, also at night when it is programmed to go off.

Sorry for the late response. Had some other projects that needed priority. I think your problem is unrelated, as you seem to do what i am doing.
It just doesn't give you the "problem adding hardware" problem i am having after trying to click the add hardware button. Lucky bastard
I am going mental on this. My Evohome system works perfect with the API when i add it in a domoticz installed on a windows system.
Exactly the same settings. I have tried changing my language to dutch and english, but it refuses to add the hardware on my pi.
I have even considered trying to install a windows-version on my pi, running it that way.
But it must be a small setting I am having wrong... Any more suggestions, all of you smart people over here?

i have the exact same problem. no solution so far. If you add the hardware without password, and try to update that field I get "problem updating hardware"
