Simon 100 series

Hi all,

The Spanish manufacturer Simon, has launched more than a year ago, the 100 IO series, a really nice and complete set of devices to control lights, blinds and plugs using Z-wave standard. They have their own z.wave hub, integrated in the plug z-wave hub device, and an app to control their devices. I've tried to include a blind controller device into domoticz and, as it was expected, I just could add it as an unknown device (listed as a switch). After some efforts, I could action the control to get up and down the blind but, as I couldn't do a calibration process, the blind didnt closed completely, beside the status was not reported properly. I have two questions:
  • There is a way to configure manually an unknown device, maybe with a parameter file, or any other method?
  • As eedomus+ is including support for this series since few months ago, can we expect that domoticz will support Simon 100 IO series in the near future? If you take a look to them, you will agree with me that it is a very cool device serie.
Thanks in advance

I remember similar conversations in the past with new devices not yet recognized in Domoticz. It required creating some sort of XML file and uploading it to your /Config folder. Actually when checking my folders while writing this I found a Config/Simon folder that exists already, apparently for something named Simon S100 Socket iO. Check this post from the days when Fibaro released the radiator controller. Hope it helps.

I've recently have been working to add support for Simon io100 blinds and the changes have been recently added into domoticz code. I hope it will be available in next releases.
