Pv systemen uitlezen met raspberry en domoticz.

Post by Jaconet »

Original question in dutch, but rule of forum is to use english:
therefore reply in that language (although quoted URLs in dutch, because first/only found by my Google).

Which type of interface do you apply for read-out of your Mastervolt-inverters type xs3200 and xs 2000 by means of an adapter RS485<>USB?
See https://www.mastervolt.nl/producten/mas ... nterfaces/
Or this PC-Link which has capability to read all inverters on the RS485-bus?

Set1 = RPI-Zero+RFXCom433+S0PCM+Shield for BMP180/DS18B20/RS485+DDS238-1ZNs
Set2 = RPI-3A++RFLinkGTW+ESP8266s+PWS_WS7000
Common = KAKUs+3*PVLogger+PWS_TFA_Nexus
plus series of 'satellites' for dedicated interfacing, monitoring & control.

Not very useful posts if you can't speak Dutch.
Domoticz Latest β, RPi 4B with 110Gb SSD for Domoticz, RPi 4B with 110Gb SSD for Node-Red & a RPi 2B for logging / IP addressing. RFXCOM, PiZiGate, Z-Wave, Harmony, Hue lamps and a bit of Broadlink.

@Jaconet

To be expected that the PC-Link delivered by Mastervolt has interface-functionality included in the companion-software for PC, but that obviously is not a solution for your setup with Raspberry+Domoticz.

Looking in Domoticz' list of interfaces under Setup/Hardware, I don't see a specific choice for Mastervolt => no quick & easy integration
[but if somebody has better information ....]
Therefore 'Simple' connection of your Raspberry to the Mastervolts' RS485-bus-interface by means of a 'general' converter RS485<>USB probably will not work, and you have to find another solution.

Searching through Domoticz' Wiki & Forum and further on the Internet is first effort to possibly find a compatible script to load to a Raspberry with Domoticz.
If no result from that search (which would surprise me, considering the amount of Mastervolt inverters in operation), then a script needs to be developed:
- as basic interface-information you need to know the interface-protocol of the Mastervolts plus the identification information of each inverter.
- look around at the Domoticz forum for a script which can handle the RS485-interface plus the Mastervolt interface-info mentioned above plus the 'translation' to Domoticz
[several 'bits & pieces' availableat the Wiki & Forum which perform those functions:
e.g. look for other implementations of inverter-interfaces and for read-out of Energy-meters like DDS238-1ZN and Eastron SDC120
Set1 = RPI-Zero+RFXCom433+S0PCM+Shield for BMP180/DS18B20/RS485+DDS238-1ZNs
Set2 = RPI-3A++RFLinkGTW+ESP8266s+PWS_WS7000
Common = KAKUs+3*PVLogger+PWS_TFA_Nexus
plus series of 'satellites' for dedicated interfacing, monitoring & control.
