Troubleshooting Shelly2 + Domoticz

Post by midomot »

Hello
I create this subject here, but possibly needs to be relocated.
I've got a Shelly2 behind wall-switches, 2 relays to each drive a light.
There are certain combinations of actions that lead to the Shelly2 apparently being unresponsive for a while or even rebooting
I would be hard-pressed to indicate which actions so at this point I am unsure as to where the issue is.. and in the meantime the WAF is going down :(

Hence this topic, looking for other Shelly 2 users to share experience and maybe we'll find out what's wrong in my setup !
Note: the Shelly2 can be flashed with ESPEasy, haven't been brave enough to go down that road, required pins are exposed but rather small..

My situation
Domoticz V4.10311
Shelly2 from https://shelly.cloud/
With an official firmware from Shelly's facebook threads- should reduce wifi disconnections (20190110-175258/wifi_reconnect@8ed2700e)
(probably not my problem, Shelly2 report a RSSI of -39 but who knows !)
Device linked to Domoticz using the python plugin by user iwolf: https://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopi ... 65&t=25656

Shelly2 set to relay mode (it can also be set for shutters control).
Gave it a fixed IP address, turned on the mqtt, and for each relay set the button to "edge" (so every click should change status)

This is how I physically connected the device - I pulled the Neutral from power outlet next to it.
Being the wall-switches there used to be only 3 cables: a live into the switch itself and then 2 switch cables to the lights

Starting with the electrical connection, is there anything here you'd think that is wrong/could be improved ? Thanks
