Essent E-thermostat / icy support

I received an Email today that Essent will stop its contract with ICY per Feb 1, 2019 and that they either will decommission the portal altogether or else will charge a Euro 1,95 per month for the service, so I am wondering whether anybody knows if there is a way around using the portal to "talk" to the Thermostat directly?

Received my new licence today and updated domoticz after registration at ICY. Works like a charm!

I went for investing in a Honeywell Lyric T6 instead of paying a monthly fee for the product which is never maintained/developed to begin with and it feels like they (icy) are not putting any more effort into development. Still feels "wrong" when a supplier like Essent simply stops the support of a product they introduced some 5-6 years ago with a lot of hype and forces you into buying extended support for another party.
