Multiple wired door sensors

I've a closet with in total 10 doors, behind each door I want to but a wired (cheap) door sensor so that when the door opens I can enable the lights. What is the best wiring schema for such a solution? Put them all in serie and then connect it to the Raspberry on the GPIO connector? Any other suggestions?
