Hi all,
every time I try to add a new device via domoticz the stick stops functioning. The means. After that I am unable to add any device. Even the one I tried to add in the first place.
When I then disconnect the stick from the system and try to add new device by pressing the button. The led on the stick turns blue followed by red and then turns off.. Also mean s I cannot add new devices..
Any ideas? (the only solution I have at this time is to reset the stick and add all of my devices all over again)

That does not seem right. I never unplugged the stick, i just use the include/include secure option from the dropdown

then again... If I do that the stick gets stuck in some kind of mode and I cannot add new devices
I did sent a mail to Aeotec and they advise me to put the stick is SUC mode (windows tool.. Have not yet had the time to do/try that..

If your module is already included, the stick will refuse re-include. I think your problem is unplug/replug the stick have changes the ttyUSB/ttyACM because you have not made a persistent USB setup.Draakje wrote: Monday 29 October 2018 9:14 then again... With mine, I can include both from stick&domoticz...

Re: Aeotec gen 5 z-wave stick gets stuck after trying to add new device
So the solution I got from Aeotec did put my stick back into a working order.
Solution:
1) Download the Zensys tool which is a debug software that is Windows Exclusive (unfortunately OSX or Linux will not work with this program), you can find the software here: http://www.axialcontrol.com/zensys-tools.zip
2) Close all programs that are linked to the Z-Stick Gen5
3) Open up the Zensys Tool program
4) On the toolbar at the top, go to Categories -> Settings
5) Select the Z-Stick Gen5 which should be labeled as UZB (COMX) where X is a number and click on "Apply"
6) Now click on "Set as SUC" which is under the 6th icon from the right with NodeID = 1 highlighted.
7) Now close the program and test the inclusion function again.
-------------
After this I could add new devices (by pushing the button on the stick)

How about including new devices via the dropdown inside domoticz (without touching the button on the stick)

I rather not try this... as in the past this will lock up my stick..gizmocuz wrote: Tuesday 30 October 2018 8:35 How about including new devices via the dropdown inside domoticz (without touching the button on the stick)
I know it should work.. but in my case it doesn't.. And this may be related to the device I want to add ofcourse (NeoCoolCam PowerPlug)
