MQTT: 2 Domoticz install

Post by emme »

Ciao,

got a wired question...
I have 2 different domoticz installation in the same network
they works as master/slave

what is their behaviour in MQTT?
since the publish topic is the same... how can I divide masters telegrams from slave one?

Run a separate local only MQTT server on one of the Domoticz boxes, use Node-Red to subscribe to it and re-publish it to another MQTT topic.

See how you can change the topic it routes into on the main MQTT server?

Not the best solution I know, I don't think what you want to do is possible without changes to the Domoticz MQTT code, as you say everything is going to the same channel.
