Hi All,

I've got a question , i'm using Domoticz for all domotica in my house for years now and still loving it.
I would like to make the following happen.
I've got an raspberry pi ir camera attached with a 100cm cable to my electricity-meter so i can read the counter.
I would like to automate this as follows
Take a picture every day at a certain hour and send this to a spreadsheet (maybe google but doen't matter realy)
Is this possible , can anyone point me in the wright direction ???

Thx for all the help :D

edit; to spreadsheet won't work , silly me, it's uploading photo's you fool
So uploading to server or something like google drive

Why not hooking up an pulse counter?
Just a matter of for example ESP-Easy software on an ESP8266 and the right pulse counter (or your meter might have even an S0 port)

You see then clearly the usage but also the actual usage.

unfortunally not an option , the case is completely closed, no ports, whe're not so evolved in Belgium yet ;)

But there is an visible meter so what do you see?
Digits (analog), Digits (digital), a spinning disc ?

With the analog often the 0 is black or has a magnet in it so just hook a sensor in front of it.
With the disc you also have an black area so same here.

Digital .... thats getting more tricky but often there is an S0 port on those things.

No, it's an analog meter, so no digital output. Had a IR camera for the pi available , so was looking for it to take a picture @ midnight so i can later fill it in spreadsheet

You mean like a default Ferraris Meter?

You can read it with a Youless. Its supported in Domoticz by default. You set your value for the meter after installation and Domoticz is doing your calculations.
Ok..you do'nt have a spreadsheet, but that part can maybe be figured out by yourself?
