How to use a FTP/storage backround to show IP camera "alert" trigger and show pictures.

Hello there,
My IP camera only output is a email alert with screenshot attachment. My idea is that i save this attachments (automatically) to a folder my system and use it a "virtual camera". If the script add a new picture to the folder, it generate a "alarm" signal in domoticz and the new picture replace the old one on Domoticz interface.
What do you think, it is possible to do this? what is the way that need to go...?
