installation problem

I have installed Domoticz onto a raspberry pi, and installation has completed correctly ie, it gives me the installation complete and the addresses.

I then go to the website and on any pc, I try, I get, even if I try to access it locally, i get unable to connect.:

Unable to connect

Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at 192.168.1.109:789.

Am i missing something?

Are you sure domoticz is running on port 789? Did you try the default of 8080 already? If I remember correctly you need special permissions to run on ports below 1024.

Have you tried starting domoticz manually:
cd ~/domoticz
./domoticz -www 8080

Then connect to port 8080

I already have something using port 8080 so I need to use a different port. i have tried a higher port, but again no luck.
