Topic maybe a bit confusing...
Let me try to explain.....

I have an Aeotec Z-wave stick gen 5 and mostly Neo Coolcam Powerplugs.
In the past I had some trouble (and still have) with some plugs. The loose connection. Sometimes only a single meter... (very strange)
I just remove the node (and then ofcourse removing the history for the meter) and readd the node. But the node count will just continue. In other words my node count is now like 1 (the stick) 3 7 8 12 13 18 etc.
Is there a way to use the missing node numbers?

Another question: when I delete a node is it possible to preserve the data somehow?

mmm I doe have great problems with Zwave to..
Servel times lost nodes.
Some power-meters that are not working
Did reset [ hard] and start again.
Buy some new nodes.

Only i think i start next week again with a clean setup.

The Neo coolcam are [ i was thinking ] not in the list of openzwave
So there are not supported.. Strange because they are working.
Only my shit starts when i was using coolcam plugs...

You have to exclude the node on the good way.
Push the button until it is yellow blinking then 3 times push the node button.
Reboot the pi or your zwave hardware..
Then remove the devices

Last night I hard reset the stick.. (was frustrated )
After a bit of struggle the list was completely empty..
I then connected all of my powerplugs one by one (after a reset of the plug) again. But still some plugs are not functioning correct..

At one time I had a switch status on in Domoticz but in the control panel it was off.. (and the lamp was on i believe.. ) many time commands are delayed... I have no clue what the h**l is going on. should be a mesh network but in my case it is just messy...

There is a new setting in the Zwave usb controller perhaps play with that
