Yes, you can just download the files. I recommend the beta version. Save them in the right folder on your NAS. Edit CONFIG.js as described in the wiki.

Re: Help with dashticz on synology
Hi Lokonii,
thanks for your reply, but this is exactly the reason why I am on this forum.
I don't know how to setup my Synology. I have already installed the web station package and set up a private server. But in which folder do I need to install the Dashticz package?

Web server is running correctly?
In file server on your NAS you see a folder web. You can create a folder Dashticz in there, and save the files in that folder.

Yes, I have done that.
I have also changed the config.js file (used an external IP adress, not an internal one because at the moment I'm not in the local network). Is that okay?
What is the correct way to access the web folder in an internet brower?

It should be http://<address>/Dashticz/
Do you get the synology default webpage at
Http://<address>
?

Re: Help with dashticz on synology
Yes, got it now.
Unfortunately I cannot modify the settings in the popup screen. The settings are not saved. I also get the following error:
double check the path to domoticz in settings.
Do I have to dive into the Config.js file and change the data manually?

Re: Help with dashticz on synology
For saving the settings you have to install php on your Synology. Further, you also have to add write rights to the file CONFIG.js
Probably better to first edit the settings manually in CONFIG.js
There is a setting 'domoticz_ip'' in CONFIG.js. This may point to an external IP address, but then you have to setup the password settings correctly as well. (in Domoticz and in CONFIG.js)
Code: Select all
chmod a+w CONFIG.js
