Rain detector

I have a running rain sensor (Cheap Chinees FC-27 board) connected to an Arduino ESP NodeMCU board.

It works good, but i'm looking for a better sensor and more quality (after a few days already suffer oxidation on the PCB board  )

My goal is to detect rain and get a notification if it's raining and when it stops raining.

I have found this (Kemo M152 rain sensor), but have not yet found anything to use with Arduino or a raspberry.

A Davis 6420 Leaf Wetness Sensor could be also an solution, if it's possible to use as a rain detector.
Supply Voltage and Current . . . . . 100 μA (typical) @ 3 VDC
Output . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2.5 to 3 VDC
Connections
Yellow . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 3 VDC
Red . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . Ground
Green . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . Output

Some one build a rain detector?

Does somebody know why my dummy switch turns directly to off after rain is detect by the sensor.
The sensor it self still turns on (still notice that it is wet), but in Domoticz it turns directly to off and then again to on because the sensor still is at on.
