Devices not recognised anymore ID: 0x0000

Post by vaevictis »

I have a couple of devices which have stopped working with ID 0x0000. Is there any method to restore them without exclude/include them? Some devices are hard to reach.

Regards.

Looks like problem with OZW's network configuration file. Try deleting it and OZW will rebouild it again. Please note that sometimes it requires few restarts of OZW until all nodes are correctly queried and have correct ID (not 0). However it might be a good idea to restart OZW after all nodes have been queried.

Had this problem after a restart. Manually waking up (battery nodes that may sleep) did the job for most of them but some had to be excluded/reincluded. Take care to use "replace" for those that stores statistics for not loosing them before removing previous devices.

Could be this is the case of battery powered devices that could not be reached within several restarts and therefore controller put them into "presumably dead" queue. For my case it helped that I first initiated include sequence on the device, WITHOUT starting include process on PC/controller site. This caused the device to send NIF frame to controller and it found out that this is actually the same device that is on it's "presumably dead" queue and moved device back to "alive" devices. After that I restarted OZW and device got it's ID back...:)
