Using an IP camera with a dynamic DNS address

I'm trying to add an old IP video camera (Airlink101 AIC250) in a remote location which is accessible using a dynamic DNS address (I'm using dyndns.org). I can easily access this camera using a browser. If I use a dyndns address, the Edit Camera/Test Connection button fails. However, if I use the current numbered IP address, the Edit Camera/Test Connection button still fails, but the Take Snapshot and the Stream Video icons in Add Camera do work.

It appears I've identified two problems:
1. Why does the Test Connection button fail when I use the current numbered IP address. I don't care too much about this since the camera does work outside of Add Camera.
2. How can I get this to work with a dynamic DNS address?

Thanks much in advance.
