Cookie policy ?

Hi all !

Since this morning, I have a very annoying pop-up saying "You cannot access links on this board until you have accepted the Cookie Policy." But I can't find out where to accept this policy ?! Can you give me any hint ?

Maybe a window to accept was supposed popup at the first connection and got blocked by ublock feature "block cookies warning" ? but then, how to get it again ? I tried deleting all domoticz cookies then restart the browser with ublock disabled but no luck !!

Happily I found a workaround to post this message otherwise I'd have been kicked out of the board  How to recover from this situation ?

Thanks !

Hello All,

I have the same situation, still this: "You cannot access links on this board until you have accepted the Cookie Policy." when i use Firefox. With Google Chrome not any problem at all. What to do? Is this the result of the certificate problems?

Thanks, Herman-H

Disable uBlock, Ghostery and/or any other blocking mechanism. Then navigate to index.php. You should get the red banner about the Cookie Policy.

Thanks tezzlicious, that's the solution.

Yes, same here ! I had another extension "I don't care about cookies" which I had forgotten about ! I put domoticz in the white list and got the banner. Problem solved :-) thanks tezzlicious :-)

Just for completeness, when I turned off pop up blocking (Chrome on an ipad) I still didn't see the red banner, then I realised that it was hidden behind the ‘use tapatalk’ banner.
Might help someone who, like me has spent ages trying to sort it. Not knowing why I could not see the cookie policy banner.

I've bookmarked http://www.domoticz.com/forum/search.ph ... ive_topics ,every time after browser started i have to "delete all board cookies" and will be directed to the forum main page.
Is it possible to put the red cookie banner on all the sub pages too?

This is really an annoying add-on, as my firefox is automatically is set to clean all cookies in the end of the tab session and of course this board is the _only one_ I've personally seen using this add-on. I'm quite sure that GDPR does not require any board maintainers to require clicking these banners every single time, before the clients are allowed to browse the forum.

I'm afraid that adding this kind of annoying add-ons will just get rid of some random persons checking for information about different IOT frameworks (neither of the competing frameworks seem to have the need for this kind of behaviour).

Please, do get rid of this annoyance.

Same here with Firefox. Very annoying and a not usable forum anymore.

Anyone who can fix this? There are multiple better ways to tackle this!

really impossible to use on iPad if you have an ad blocker and disallow pop-ups. You need to temporarily disable both to get it working on Safari. I would be keen if the mods get rid of this ’feature’

Thanks for the hint, but this is a really stupid thing to have to do. There is no legal requirement to force people to do this and it's clearly causing problems so why does it exist?

Sort of thing that will kill an otherwise useful forum. :(

Sorry but it's indeed far from user friendly. Please consider to change it.

Still no admin of the forum who want to give an answer?

It is a real pain in the ass and not workable for me anymore. Cannot access the forum from my standard browser Firefox.
Can't really understand nobody who controls the forum is paying any attention to it.

Please fix it?!

This is the worst cookie notification I've seen in a loooong time.
The acceptance of this to enable links on the page... O... My.... Gawd....

If you've googled a term, and one of the hits is this forum a visitor first needs to manually (the link doesn't work) visit the front page of the forum. Then accept, go back to the initial forum page, refresh and then be able to do what they wanted to do..

If you want to lose visitors/members, this is the way to do it. :o

Since recently I've picked up Domoticz again to expand my (still little) home automation and have been searching the web for some issues I've been experiencing with Blockly and EZVents. Most results link to this forum, but I've even been unable to browse pages, subfora or whatever.. Registering hasn't helped a bit either.

I've even been getting these messages when I'm logged in and have accepted the cookie before but went away to another site. This is bullcrap!
Removed my adblocker as some suggested.. That doesn't fix it. And I'm not prepared to switch browsers just to visit this page. I'd rather switch home automation in this stage of configuration.

Fix or remove the message, PLEASE!! Although I find it highly doubtfull these messages are being read by mods/admins.. Maybe the cookie message is blocking them too?? :)

Tried it, but message keeps stuck in Outbox-folder.
Maybe the forum needs some more repair next to the cookie issue ;)

Reported this to one of the forum admins on june 2, but no response yet. If you got to the bottom of the page you can send a private message to one to "The Team" members.
