Hi all,

Today I received a new thermostat kit from Bosch - Nefit Easy's big brother Bosch Easy Control, with smart radiator valves.

Unfortunatelly but somewhat understandable the Nefit Easy script does not longer work;

Does anyone have an idea how we can get the correct data from the stream from the Bosch server?

Can't wait to get the CT200 (and hopefully all rooms) available in Domoticz.

Nope, I still havent figured out how we can connect the CT200... hopefully someone else has any idea how we can get this up and running.

Mine is just installed...
Did a portscan on it, not 1 port is listening, so direct communication with the CT200 is not possible.
Then I did a packet capture of the network traffic but it's SSL 2.0 encrypted.
I'm a bit afraid we'll have to wait for the IFTT support for basic settings or to use the EMS board from bbqkees.
I already ordered that board and a arduino. I'm pretty sure that will have a lot more possibilities than their IFTT implementation.

Is this yet another (Nest, Hive, Tado, etc.) system that ties you in to an external server in order to work? I want to operate - and have control of - my heating locally. Yes, I know they give you the facility of controlling your heating ‘from anywhere in the world’, but I can achieve that with Domoticz and the Smart Virtual Thermostat plugin. Only advantage seems to me to be the ‘pretty’ touchscreen controllers. I’m currently looking for an alternative to my British Gas Hive system, as I don’t like it being permanently connected to the Internet - I may go the Domoticz SVT route, and build my own touchscreen controller.

Are Bosch just planning to support IFTT then?

Does anyone know if they plan to provide a local API?

I tried finding out info on their developer website, developer.bosch.com , but that says "coming soon"

melvinc, you have their smart radiator valves. How do they communicate with the EasyControl, is it their own proprietary protocol?

The reply I received from Bosch Service is that IFTTT may be available at the end of 2018, could be later.
Don't think they plan a local api, at this moment there's not 1 port listening on the thermostat.
My workaround for the moment is a relay connected at the analog thermostat input of my heater.
When the relay is closed the thermostat controls the heater, when the relay is open the heater is off.

FYI the reply I got today from Worcester Bosch suggested they currently have 4 voice commands available for use with Amazon Alexa via IFTTT.

And they all said there is an open API, but with limited access, and that the exact details of the API functionality were limited, and that they had escalated my request for info to a senior tech for further clarification.

I'll let you know when I hear back from them.

They got back to me with the following: the API for IFTTT and Alexa will be ready in early 2019 along with local API.

So it sounds promising that they are talking about a local API.

At least you receive a reply, they have not yet answered my multiple mails.
A bit stupid that it has to take so long, can't imagine that IFTTT is that hard to implement.

Just install a relay instead of the EasyControl thermostat. The thermostat is even stupid as a relay.
Either if you set it 0,5° or 10° higher the power of the flame stays in the same curve so it doesn't mather.
If it weren't that we just painted the living room I would remove him completely from the system.

That's Bosch: Ask them for a (local) cheat mode as the one they developed for automotive products and they'll provide this quickly!
