I would advice to run dashticz from this forum on the tablet. Better looks and things like your request are easy. Check out their wiki for the many options.

...or use "Notifications" from Domoticz (SETUP, NOTIFICATIONS). I'm using PROWL, only working for iPAD, but there are more Notification services available. But check, if you get notified if your tablet is idle for longer time. Maybe you have to configure your notification service for that mode.
