is it possible to update the firmware with the standard domoticz raspberry image with mono from putty?

Firmware update can only be done using RFXflash.
RFXflash can be used on Linux with mono .NET 2.0

I understand. I saw that in the manual, but will it work in the non grahical environment of the standaard domoticz raspberry wheezy image?

It's a graphical app, but it can be made to display remotely - ssh -X
[email protected], and then run RFXFlash
Assuming you have all the X libraries that rfxflash/mono needs on the Pi, it will draw the output on your local display. There's no avoiding installing the requisite libraries on the rfxcom server though

A little newbie question on firmware update to rfxcom... sure so,ebody can help me.
I see several downloads of the firmware for the 433MHz transceiver, named Type 1 and Type 2. what is correct one?
After download and unpacking i also see several increasing numbers, think this the version numbering mentioned before, correct?
How can i check my current installes firmware?
Just to be sure i am doing everything right and it works at least as before. Or os it like "mever chnage a running system"?

If you have a RAEX blinds motor than use Type2, else use Type1
The list of supported protocols in each Type is listed in chapter 2.2 of the RFXtrx User Guide
The current version is listed in RFXmngr.
Update the firmware only if you need the update. See the history file for the updates.
If you need an update than select the highest version. The older versions are only made available to be able to go back to a previous version in case the new version has broken something.

Thanks for the reply.
So what i understand ist that the firmware i need depends on the protocols i need.
I always thought it depends on the exact hardware model.
OK, the hardware model is more the type of transceiver and the frequency rfxcom lists the firmwares.
Is this understanding correct?
I would have a look again within some days and then give a suggestion for a Wiki entry as thanks for your help. Sure this would be interesting to other users, too.

Its quite easy as Bert explained, no need for a additional wiki (it's also mentioned on the RFXCom download site)
If you are using a RAEX blinds motor, then you need Type2

See chapter 2.2.2 in the RFXtrx User Guide
Rohrmotor24 doesn't need a protocol enabled as it is transmit only.

Rohrmotor24 is a Blinds1 - T6 DC106 motor.
Use the same procedure with RFXmngr to pair the motor as you would do with the standard remote using the confirm command.
I don't know if Blinds1 - T6 DC106 is already implemented in Domoticz.

I get an error trying to pair with my Dooya. Somebody an idea? My RFXtrx433E Ext is flashed with firmware 240
Code: Select all

Blinds command
================================================
Packettype = BLINDS1
subtype = DC106
Sequence nbr = 58
id1-4 = 0006066
Unit = 2

Protocol not supported in this firmware version,
or wrong command or Flash the latest firmware!

Rohrmotor is supported in Type1 or Type2 firmware, not in Ext firmware.
Flash your RFXtrx433E with Type1.
See also chaper 2.2.2. in the RFXtrx User Guide for the list of supported devices in each firmware type.
