Private Messages: Difference Outbox and Sent Messages?

Hai,
In the section where I can manage my private messages, I see three 'folders': Inbox, Outbox, Sent Messages.
What is the difference between the latter two?
When I compare it with my email system, the Outbox option could indicate that the messages are not sent yet.
Is this correct?
It might explain why I didn't get a reaction
If the messages in the Outbox are indeed not sent yet, how can I then do send them?

they are not read when they are still in the outbox

I just tried to send 3 messages & they're still lurking in my Outbox.
While sending, I saw this message appear at the top of the page: -
[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/includes/functions_messenger.php on line 506: count(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable

Is there any issue with the private messages / outbox? I have now 4 messagen in my outbox.... they will not be sent?

The will move to your sent box when they are opened by the addressee... Unless your sent box already contain 150 messages.

Hi all,
I don't know if this is the correct thread but could some body help me?
When I compose a message the messege stays in the outbox.
My sent items box only contains 7 messeges.
Messeges don't seem to be sent.....
I hope somebody can help

That's really weird... So, I have now sent one message multiple times.... because I thought something was wrong with sending them
