Help requested: controlling heating via Eurotronic Spirit

I've bought several Eurotronic Spirit Z-wave radiator thermostat valves and was able to register them in Domoticz. I can see several devices in Domoticz so I know that the inclusions were succesfull. The next step would be to start controlling the heating via controlling the Valve levels (0-100%).

However, I do not know how to do this.... :-(

I want to control the heating by controlling the valve-levels. To get this working it is my understanding that I first need to set the "basic function" to 'Manufacturer specific (0xFE)', but I do not know how to accomplish this. Did anyone succeed in controlling the "basic function"? And if so, how did you accomplish this?

There is also something called 'thermostat mode'; is this something that I have to deal with as well? If so, why and how this mode relate to 'basic function'?

I found the device to control the valve level, but it is not working correctly due to the fact that the basic function is not changed to 'Manufacturer specific'.

Some background:
- I am running Domoticz version 3.8805
- I've manually added eur_spirit.xml and adjusted the manufacturer_specific.xml, which is done succesfully since I see several devices (like valve, mode, temperature, etc)
- using Aeotec Zwave Gen 5

I hope someone can help me and point me to the right direction.

I was able to find the answer to my own question. I will post it here, maybe it is usefull for somebody else.

Controlling the Eurotronic Spirit can be done by the following command:

-- to turn the heat to max potential
commandArray[VALVStudy]="On"

-- to turn the heat off
commandArray[VALVStudy]="Off"

VALVStudy is the device Light/switch linked to the Spirit.
