How to implement Z-wave
Posted: Friday 09 February 2018 17:13
Hello To all,
Im new to this forum and to domoticz so forgive me if i post in the wrong place.
I run domoticz on a proliant microserver and use clearos as the OS.
Till now i have only used it to capture output of my Youless energie monitor.
I want to add some things that i can controll and afther some searching i found z-wave to be the best candidate.
Thats where my question starts. I found 2 ways of controllers
1 a USB pendrive like Aeon Labs Z-Stick
2 a raspberry pi whit razberry
Wiche one is better or are they both as good.
If i choose the usb pen drive i asume it has to be installed in the server. or is there another way of doing this like a raspberry pi that i can use downstairs.
If i choose for a razberry what do i install on it. A secondary domoticz server that is a slave to the proliant?
as you can see i have have a lot of questions and i hope someone here will help me to find a answer.
Thanks in advandce.
Regards Frans
