Does anyone use timer plans for anything other than modes such as home, away, night, etc?

Like what? I've got many timers on many devices. But i only allow them to work when me or any family member is at home. Otherwise timer plan work according to presence, and when nobody is at home the timer plan 'Away' is in charge. You can bind timer plan to a dummy switch or dummy selector switch and change it whenever you want if you are willing to use it anything other than home or away.
