Domoticz App (Iphone)

First of all, best wishes for 2018!
I am trying to use the Domoticz app on my Iphone and it looks like a great app, I am using Pilot now instead (iphone/working), but it won't connect to my domoticz (synology nas package installed version 3.0.8740-7). I am receiving the following error message on my phone:
not connected to any network
tried the following:
- opened port forwarding on my router (6144, or used another port like 5006)
- with or without user name/password and using that within domoticz using settings-website protection
- settings - mydomiticz settings - allow apps enabled and enabled there itself
- in the mobile app - only using local settings instead of remote
- http instead of https
