Domoticz

I'm creating a version of Dashticz for the Toon Thermostat from Eneco (NL).
Don't want to discuss this version in this forum, but just wanted to let you know, if you're interested.

This is what I hoped Toon could do from the start.

Yeah, well, Toon is limited in what it can do.
I'm trying to get as much functionality as I can from Dashticz into Toon.

looks like a nice solution instead of a tablet.
Are all toons the same?

Only the firmware could be different, currently I'm working on 4.8.25

Hardware is the same for all toons, adapters (boiler interface, P1 interface, come in different varieties, although the boiler interfaces are functionally all the same).
Software varies. As of fw version 3.0.29 the gui is made in qt (it used to be shockwave flash before that), and with increasing firmware numbers, functionality is added (for better or for worse). From 4.4.21 onwards, the gui has had a facelift, but internally nothing serious has changed.

Ok thanks for that i already did ask some question to Marc who is selling the rooted Toons on marktplaats.
Still in doubt to get one yes or no.
Than i can use the tablet for something else

Dashticz for Toon sounds interesting. I am considering to buy a Toon but i have one question before i do so.

Will Dashticz be the default page for toon or will this always be the default Eneco page? So if you touch the screen, will you get the default screen from toon or the dashticz screen? Can you also change the 'screensaver' page from the toon?

You still see Toon's dashboard, not Dashticz, it's only available after a press on the icon of Dashticz.
If you just want to run dashticz, I think it's better to buy a cheap tablet (7 or 10 inch) for this?
