Associations, Groups and Scenes

There are some things I like to do but fail to get working.
I want to control a Fibaro or Neocoolcam wall plug with the Fibaro button. So far I have managed to Switch on one wallplug with the button but could not switch it off. Swich on/off in the app works ok.
The second thing is that I want to make a time controlled scene that switches a plug on and then again off at a pre set time. Managed to switch it off, not on. This switch can be controlled (on/off) thru the app.
So where can I find a - more or less- step by step - instruction on how to associate devices, make them act the way I want and to make scenes. and groups and so on.

Any help very much appreciated.

I do not know about the Fibaro buttons and its associations, does the manual help you with group-ids ?

Which version of Domoticz are you running?
I experience issues in FIbaro wall plug state reporting in the latest stable 3.8153
Apart from that setting timers on the device and using scene's should be possible

Thnx for the reply.
The concept of associations and groups, i find hard to grasp.
Let me try:
For using the button on the wall plug I first must make a group?

The small button on the wall plug (not fibaro THE BUTTON) should directly influence the wall plug state and that should be reflected in Domoticz (on the switch device itself, no group or whatever)
There's a specific topic on Fibaro THE BUTTON

Associations make sure z-wave devices are directly coupled, switch to lamp for example without the need to define anything else in domoticz
Groups and scene's are explained HERE

Thnx.

Keeps puzzling me, made a scene to switch something on at a certain time and the switch off a little later, Did not switch on so did it by hand. It did switch off ok. So need to understand a bit more I guess

Hi,

These kind of buttons and wallswitches are supposed to turn on an scene.
Since a scene can only be turned on.
To turn off devices you have to write another scene (i.e. blockly) and turn that scene on.
