Change Z-wave controller

I am using raspberry pi 3 and razberry z-wave controller.
I now want to change to aeon labs zwave usb controller.
Can I just change hardware and it will work or do I need to re-register all my Zwave products?

Since the pairing is stored on the zwave device itself it is not possible to change the transceiver without re-pairing.
Had the same situation. The razberry was unreliable as hell, the aeon stick is way better.

Ok, thanks. Then I need to prepare before I change

Do you know if I can walk around and pair my zwave devices with USB stick and then mount it to Domoticz?
Or do I need to mount the USB stick to Domoticz and then pair, when USB is inserted?

What I did was to install the Zwave controller(USB) on my new PC that run DZ.
I then set the new DZ Zwave controller to “Receive config from other controller” and in my old DZ I set to “Send config to other controller”
All my nodes was transferred to my new DZ Zwave USB controller. I then tested to stop old DZ and I could still control all my Zwave products from new DZ

Ok, it was not that easy.
I can control my Zwave devices but I do not get all data’s, eg. watt.
I think it need to pair all Zwave to my new Zwave controller, as @blacksn0w wrote

I did mine this way too. RazBerry on node 1. And a new Aeotec Get 5 stick. It took a while, but eventually I managed to transfer the primary to the Aeotec. However I had to use the Z-Way software to do it. I never managed it with OpenZWave and Domoticz.
The Z-Way software (Especially the newer version) on the RazBerry is quite a bit more stable and robust than openZWave.

Sounds good. Do you have a link to the software, so I can try it.
Thanks
