Mysens low performances

Post by emme »

Ciao,

this is somwthing that should be addressed to the MySensor forum, but willing to share here to see if anyone experienced the same

I have a NodeMCU WiFi Gateway with NRF24L01 PA on a 2A power supply and a 1wire node on a ATMega328P with a NRF24L01 on a 1A power supply

I have performaces issue as well as connection...
the devices are 9mt far and I have a lack of communication between nodes (I have to reboot both device and gateway) and the gateway sometimes lost wifi connection

I'm wondering if it could be a problem with the bandwitdh and radio chnnel
I used to do not specify none of them (so it should use 250kBps and ch 76)
did you ever had the same issue and have you solved just changing those 2 parameters?
thanks
ciao
M

Hi,

This is not a domoticz related issue, but a mySensors issue.
You should try to ask on the MySensors forum.

Did you put a wait or sleep time on end of loop on the node?

uhm... probably on the remote with the 1wire bus yes, I have a delay of 30Secs
not sure on the gateway (whitch has also 2 sensors more)

I'm also unsure about power... it could be that the supplys I'm using are a bit faulty (they're quite old and reused form a cordless recharge base station :P

btw... thanks for the reply!!

If you have sensors also on gateway, you need to put a wait or sleep (if battery powered node) at end of loop or it will spam the gateway with a send on every loop

And place capacitors across the power supply pins of both NRF24L01, see MySensors forum for values, i think it was 470uF
Edit: 4.7 - 47uF

capacitor size from 4.7uF and up, you need to try which works best in your environment.
