Triggered by this bug-report, the suggestion to provide the possibility to update to an earlier/previous beta-version of Domoticz.
Return to latest stable version usually is going back in history quite some distance.
Perhaps possible to identify an intermediate beta-version which is 'stable enough' to serve for low-risk 'in-between' upgrade from 'stable'?
And provide function to call such update version.
Is extra work for careful maintenance, but somewhat reduces the space between stable and latest beta.
Or simply 'latest-but-one beta without any guarantee', allowing (after reinstal of 'stable') an upgrade just one step from 'beta_with_problems'.
Return to earlier, working beta-version
