Hello !

I was wondering how I could edit the wiki in order to fix some incorrect stuff in it, add some of my script to the dedicated area, and help maintaining it.
I asked on the Domoticz IRC channel and they told me the Domoticz forum and wiki account used to be linked but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore sadly.
There is also no option to create an account on the wiki, for security reasons I assume.

Hi, yes of course, it's the first thing I tried I tried again just now and I still get an error message :
"There is no user by the name "loitho". Check your spelling."

So I assume that there isn't any account that has been created on the wiki, or there is a problem with the sharing

Normaly you would need to register At this URL.
http://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Special:UserLogin/signup

But....
there you get this : So i'm guessing you are not allowed to edit the wiki.
Which makes it not really a wiki..... But thats another discussion

Strange,I can't remember that I did something special to login at the wiki. It used to be the same as the forum.

I get a failure at login.

and the Ip-Address in the top right corner (the user page for the ip-address you are editing as) shows 141.101.104.xxx
but that is not my Ip-address!

I had a problem logging in to the wiki as well. It had something to do with special characters in my username or password, I don't remember. One of the admins fixed it for me.

I too have an incorrect IP on the Wiki.

You mean one of the Forum Administrator ?

Is there an admin available to look at this issue?
Would be a shame if the Wiki went out of date, not because nobody was willing to edit it but because of an login issue.

hm, looks like the forum password is not equal to the wiki password. I just resetted my password and now I can login again.

Did anybody found fix for this yet?
I'm still not able to login (with my forum account) on the Wiki.

Ican't modify the Wiki either. I have done that before without any problem.

Something has happened quite recently!

Edit:

It seems like you must have a Mediawiki account to be able modify the Wiki. I have never logged in before, but still been able to modify the Wiki. Now I had to re-activate my Mediawiki account and login. Then it works! It looks like someone has changed the overall protection of the Wiki.

It seems like you must have a Mediawiki account to be able modify the Wiki.

I've had a Mediawiki account for a long time, and the Domoticz Wiki doesn't seem to be linked to the mediawiki user database.
It's really weird.

I sent a message to gizmocuz, but he hasn't seen it yet.

Hey ! just an update about the wiki, Gizmocuz answered my MP and said

Yes this is correct. I updated the forum, and now the login system is not working anymore for the wiki
It is a special module that used the forums username/password for end users in the wiki
I will have a look at this ASAP [...]

So, awesome ! The issue is now known

It looks like the issue is still present: When I try to connect to the Wiki (using my forum's credentials), I get:

Still not solved:

I am using Nginx as reverse proxy with a SSL connection and use Fail2Ban to monitor the Nginx logs and ban any connection after 2 failed tries. This way you run pretty secure.
