Aeotec MultiSensor 6 disable LED

Post by rjay »

I have a couple of these devices which work quite well but in recent times I wish to turn off the green LED that illuminates after motion is detected. The setting is available to change within Domoticz but it doesn't seem to stick. Even opening the Z Wave control panel the LED setting can be set to Disable but it automatically turns back to enable :| :?

Anyone had any success turning the LED off ?

thanks

Yes to motion detection, Maby you have to wait to wake up te sensor. Mine are powered with a fixed power source and updates of the parameters are instant. for the battery powered version the standard wake up time is 3600seconds. so after this 3600seconds the setting must be retained.

Nope to complete turn off the LED, last time i asked the technical department of Aeonlabs they told me there will be an update to turn off the LED completely. but it isn't released yet.. but it isn't released yet.

ahhh interesting! yeh mine is powered as well and other parameters can be updated and stick. Ok interesting, I wonder why the LED setting is there if it can't be altered :? :?:

I can be altered. but only the led is disabled when its sending a signal to the controller by motion detection.
when the sensor is sending a signal with lux, or temp the LED will always light up.

very weird decision by Aeonlabs.... hope they will come soon with an update for disable the LED complete. (i have now a piece of carton where the LED is, otherwise we can't sleep  )
