Domoticz

Instructions on the wiki https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/MyDomoticz are a bit unclear to me, but I managed to register for my.domoticz.com.
I obtained the API key and filled this and the my.domoticz.com password on my local Domoticz running on Rpi3.
Then, when clicking on Save Settings the dashboard is shown very quickly, despite the fact that the wiki states that "instance will automatically try to connect to the MyDomoticz service.". The Instance ID stays "(none)"
It seems no connection attempt is made. The MyDomoticz page shows "Enter your api data to your own Domoticz in order to use this service".
In the log some errors are present What can I do to investigate and resolve this issue?

I'm thinking of port forwarding on my router (already opened 8080, 443, 6000 and 6010 all TCP) and the host firewall.
Any ideas what ports need to be open in order to receive requests from MyDomoticz?

I have the same problem ..I tried to reinstall both the operating system (jessie lite) on my raspberry model b and domoticz but has not changed anything..
Have you resolved in the meantime?

No I'm sorry, I'm still trying to figure it out.
I have no idea what is supposed to happen. I don't know whether it is My.Domoticz.com which is trying (should try) to contact my local Domoticz or the other way around. Therefore, I also don't know which port to forward and/or open in the firewall.

I also can't get my local instance running on Raspberry Pi to connect to MyDomoticz. It used to work but returning to it last week shows a last seen timestamp of a year ago.

When I restart my Raspberry Pi I also see Error: PROXY: StartThread(): Exception: resolve: Host not found (authoritative) but I'm not sure how significant it is.

Is it working for others at the moment? Anyone got any troubleshooting tips?

I had the same problem early this year. Then I went for the beta versions of Domoticz and then it worked. Not sure if that was a good solution or not but I am still running the beta versions and it works fine for me.

I just updated to the beta and the instance appears in Domoticz but When I try to log in Mydomoticz login web page from the internet, the message appears "Dashboard - Enter your api data to your own Domoticz in order to use this service" .... and even compile all fields does not appear in the domoticz login screen .
Does anyone have any idea how to solve it?

I can't help with that but can report that although my instance appeared in MyDomoticz with my RFXCom / Pi and 15 or so LightwaveRF devices the beta was unreliable and frequently unresponsive. Could have been something specific to my system but I had to go back to the stable version and give up on MyDomoticz for the moment.

I managed to register MyDomoticz with API-key and password the Instance ID was assigned. Then I made a mistake , I tried to change the name "My Domoticz" to a more descriptive name. After that the instance disappeared from MyDomoticz screen, only the text "Dashboard" is shown.
Is it possible to reset and restart the registration process or what can I do???

This is an old thread, but I have exactly the same problem. Created MyDomoticz account and added the API-key to local Domoticz settings page. MyInstanceId says (none). I have tried to delete account and create new one. Restarted local instance but the new API-key is still not working. What am I doing wrong? Hope someone can help. Thanks in advance!

I can't get it to work either. so hopefully someone will post solutions.
