Hi!

im using a rasp3 and a aeon z-wave stick gen 5, it seems like the z-wave stick has broken, i have saved the config file from the stick, can i just buy a new aeon gen 5 stick and install the old config file or do i need to pair everything again?

Think that depends how many nodes you have.
If you have less than, let's say 50, include them again. Will probably be faster than searching and trying utilities.

i have more then 50 nodes, so it would be great if i just could buy a new aeon z-wave dongle and use the backup.
ive read somewhere that the razberry2 z-wave unit can restore a backup made from a razberry2, is that possible?

There is a tool for that so if the tool can read it then it is possible to move the whole lot to the new stick.
Otherwise exclude the nodes and include them again.
I have just moved from the old S2 to the Gen5 stick with 12 nodes and was done within ten minutes.

That was the speed I was thinking of, 50 nodes per hour.
Another advantage of reincluding is that you start with fresh and up-to-date config files.
