Zwave cannot find/activate node

I've got an interesting problem.
Yesterday I stopped domoticz and updated both it and openzwave to the latest GIT version (aka the latest beta version).
I did this together with updating my system (running arch linux on a Raspberry Pi 3 with an Aeon labs z-stick gen. 5).
I then rebooted.
I've got one Z-wave node (Rookmelder woonkamer) that isn't waking up anymore to the network. It's a Fibaro smoke sensor v2. I've already pressed the buttons on the thing to wake it up, but no luck. I've also tried to heal the network, but no luck either.
I've attached 2 screenshots: the openzwave control panel: the sensor is not responding.
the network topology: the sensor is no longer connected to the network (as far as I can see).
The sensor is almost next to a Nodon switch (Weerstation), so it should be in range of the network. Furthermore I've taken it next to the Raspberry Pi and tried to wake it up. I cannot get the thing to connect.
Does anyone have any idea as to how I can get this thing back online? Also I'm kind of curious as to how this could have happened.
My emergency solution would be to reset the device and then add it back into the network again, but I'm unsure as to what the consequences are of that action. Also taking out the z-stick and using it to remove and the add the sensor back into the network would be an idea. But considering that I've had no response even when bringing the sensor right next to the z-stick, I'm not very positive about this (also I'm concerned that when booting up the network, a similar problem could occur).
