Domoticz stops working after Linux upgrade

Hi!
Domoticz version: 3.5877
Raspbian GNU/Linux 8.0 (jessie)
Raspberry Pi Zero

I'm not very familiar with Linux but have managed to get Domoticz running on Raspbian on a rPi Zero for a long time now without problems. I have done several upgrades along the way.

The last
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade -y
made the Domoticz interface stop working. Linux is up and running as well as the Domoticz service though. I can access the Pi through Putty.

What should I look for? Which logs can I look into (or post here) to get a clue?

If I have to make a reinstall of Jessie and then Domoticz, do I have to make all custom configurations of Jessie (like firewall, WiFi, etc) again or can it be backed up/restored in any way?

Yes, cache is cleared. It works fine after the upgrade until I restart the Pi.

Sorry for late reply . I didn't see this answer.

Thanks for the information!
I haven't done anything about this situation yet and might stick with the version I'm running. I don't have a clue how to compile from source, but that's just a Google away I guess.

Domoticz runs fine on jessie and stretch, no need to recompile anything. Wheezy is not supported anymore I read somewhere. Only thing is the libssl on stretch.
