Hi all,
ive got a hikvision camera and a floodlight without pir which is connected to energenie plug.
i want to utlize the hikvisions motion detection to turn on floodlight but im running domoticz on windows and seem to be restricted.
any ideas how i can get domoticz to turn on light of motion detected on cam? as a sloppy workaround i was going to try email route but think this could potentially be quite slow from time motion detected and light coming on.
i did have home easy pir but was unreliable and got sick of changing batteries so dnt want to go down remote wireless pir.
any help would be much appreciated!

Re: Hikvision motion detection
I've built a linux vm just for this function but can't get it working, tried this:
viewtopic.php?t=10604
but cannot get it setup right i think and also tried the pearl script(s) from here:
http://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopic ... on#p121471
but i have the DS-2CD2042WD-I which doesn't have any IO so pearl script doesn't work... i can't find the hikvision cgi/api documentation either, everywhere it's referenced states no longer available on hik website (argh!!!)

Re: Hikvision motion detection
if anyone's interested i got this working by getting camera to upload snapshot on motion to nas and used incron to monitor folder and toggle virtual switch and blocky to turn on outside light if it's night time and virtual switch set to on (dirty i know)... but i've also realised this may be a bit of a poor solution in reality as i do get a lot of false "alerts" on cam due to spiders etc... going to see how it goes but may just be easier to get security light with in built PIR afterall

Re: Hikvision motion detection
A camera without PIR will give a *lot* of false alerts if you are relying on motion detection via frame-to-frame comparison. I had a Y-Cam before I got my Hik and it didn't have a PIR and the falses annoyed me so much I just put the Y-Cam on marktplaats and sold it so as to buy the Hik with PIR instead.Cybershot803 wrote:I've built a linux vm just for this function but can't get it working, tried this:

I actually have a copy of the API documentation for the Hik but as it is written in VERY Chinese-engrish it's not actually much help. One thing I'd love to do is send an mp3 file from a text-to-speech converter to the speaker in the Hik but the docs are unreadable on this topic...
