Domoticz - Where to really start?

Good day!

Currently we are renovating our first home. For an automation system I was looking to various solutions such as KNX, Loxone,... But in the end there is a love at first sight with domoticz!

The main question I have is about wiring. We need to place completely new electricity cables, contacts, lights,...

Is there any place where I can find information how the electricity should be laid for Domoticz? And is there any hardware required in the electricity control panel?

Fe.
- Loxone uses a star system (every switch has a separate cable to the central electricity box) and needs a loxone mini server in the control panel
- KNX uses a bus system (every switch is just connected to the central bus wire) and also needs a server system in the control panel

Any guidance on that would be much appreciated, thnx!

I should go for zwave din rail modules. All light points and outlets goes directly to your electrical fuse box. There you can deside. Install zwave switch/dimmer or directly connected to the fuse. You can also install zwave power mesurement modules if you like

On your domoticz you need only a zwave gateway
