Fibaro Wall Plug

Post by mrhedstrom »

Hi,
I installed my new Fibaro Wall Plug today and had some problems.

1) When installing I got 4 new devices in Domoticz. One for the switch (Lighting 2), two energy meters (Usage Electric) and one energy counter (Energy CM119 / CM160). The energy counter has both actual energy use (in Watts) and historical energy consumption (in kWh). Is it supposed to show 4 devices?

2) I couldn't get the Network Range Tester to work with the wall plug. It didn't find any network in test mode. But obviously it is within range when in normal mode.

3) I can't get an event in blocky to work with any of the three energy devices. I'm trying to set up a notification if switch is on and energy below 65 W. But it doesn't work.

3) It seems like the blocky event sends notification when using the historical energy consumption device. It has both W and kWh readings. But it does only update during polling so there is a gap between the switch on and when the Actual energy for the device gets a reading. So every time the switch turns on it generates a notification (or several until the device gets a energy reading).

Hej,
I can answer 1). I was getting 4 devices but now only get 3. It seems I'm not getting the counter with counted kWh history anymore. I get two identical Meters and one switch.

It worked in a previous version of Domoticz but lost it when I built 2.4384 or when I did a reset of the plugs. It also worked in the Razberry application.

Ah...found it. The counter was disabled, found the activation under the Setup/Hardware for the wall plug.

Hi
Since a few days, I am trying to setup my new domoticz system with my Fibaro wall plugs.
I have tried firstly in Windows but like Dejvidno1 , I had only 3 devices instead of 4 : two devices were corresponding to "Immediate Power" (type/subtype = Usage/Electric in Watt) and the third was corresponding to the switch (type/subtype = Lighting 2/Zwave).
But I was unable to activate the 4th device corresponding to the counter of energy in Kwh.

I have installed Domoticz on a Raspberry Pi2 but I have the same result than in Windows.

After reading the last post of Dejvidno1, I have tried to go in Setup/Hardware and I have clicked on the Setup Button for my Zwave controller (Z Stick Gen5) and then I have selected the nodeID correspopnding to my fibaro plug but I dont see any parameter that could activate this counter.
Could you help me ?

Though, when I click on the button "Node Management" and then select "Control Panel", I obtain a page entitled "OpenZWave Control Panel" and if I select my Fibaro device, I can see the value corresponding to the Energy that has been counted by the device since I have begin to use it.
So why this value is not available in the device list in Domoticz ? How ca I add it ?

My version of domoticz is 2.3530 on the raspberry pi and 2.4078 in Windows

Thank you for your help

Hi,
Unfortunately I misunderstood the configuration settings. It was parameter 49 in the configuration that I activated, but that only activates the metering of the plugs own consumption. I also activated parameter 1 ("Always on").

I thought that I would see the plugs counter update when the plug was updating, but it never did. So I haven't found a solution. I'm thinking of doing a hard reset of the plugs and maybe try to add them again. Last step would be to try a different version of Domoticz but I rather not...

I updated to V2.4547 and now the counter seems to work. But sometimes I get strange readings from the power meter, like its missing measuring values. The update intervals probably needs some tweaking.

i also have problems sometimes when reading out the actual status.
when the device is on sometimes the powerreading goes to 0

the only way i got it fixed is turn on enable polling on al my devices.
