Some Livolo setup tips

I thought to share some info on the Livolo setup

After some experimenting I can confirm that the Livolo EU touch switches/dimmers are working with Domoticz and the RFXtrx 433 USB.
I've now setup 2 dimmers and a 2-way switch. Material looks great and build quality is OK.
Some (hopefully) helpful tips & tricks below.

You can't just swap out your existing 2-way switches with existing wiring but need to use the Livolo schematics to make everything work (by using the COM line to interconnect the 2 switches)

Not really Domoticz related but I've also ordered some power sockets to match the switches. To make a combined dimmer power-socket comboin a dual-wallbox I swapped out a socket for a dimmer and found out that it didn't fit together very well since after closer inspection the silver frame surrounding the power socket differs slightly from the dimmer frame.
However after swapping the frame everything fits together perfectly.

The dimmers can replace either one way switches or existing dimmers. Wattage indicated in the specs. is 25W to 500W, meaning that low watt LED setups can also work. (I tested with 4 x 2W 230V LED lights and it's working OK despite some buzzing noise in the LED's.)

Now back on topic to Domoticz...
Initially I could only get one dimmer to work in Domoticz by using ID #0 and sub-ID #0. The other switches simply didn't work with Domoticz.
Eventually I found I had to hold the touch button longer to reset the switch and afterwards enable Domoticz to pair an ID. Below a step by step tutorial:

In Domoticz make preparations by manually entering a new Livolo switch or dimmer with a unique name, ID and sub-ID. (Note: you choose the ID and sub-ID yourself)
Before hitting the 'Test'-Button in Domoticz basically you hold the touch area on the Livolo switch/dimmer.. after about 5 seconds you hear a beep but keep holding the button until you hear a second beep. This means the switch has been reset.
Let go of the touch button and press it again for about 5 seconds until you hear a single beep. Let go again and immediately click "Test" in Domoticz.
The switch/dimmer will respond with a beep indicating the pairing is succesful.
You should now be able to use the 'Test' button to toggle the lights.

I will be adding a dozen extra Livolo switches and dimmers to the setup soon and will provide more feedback afterwards.

Great to see that Livolo is compatible with Domoticz and RFXtrx433 and thanks for the instructions.
I was looking for Livolo and Kopau RF switches but was afraid it didn't work without good documentation.
Could you also post a link which Livolo models you bought?

Reset is done on Switch.

I've tried to Add it automatically, doesn't worked.

After manually addon, only the power off function working :(
Pairing does not work well for me. (build no. v2.2385.)

No it doesn't. It you manually switch it on you will not see it in Domoticz

What if you just used a normal livolo and put a micro controller in behind?

I'm also looking into the Livolo dimmers with remote function.
Can I send for example a 'dim to 50%'-command from Domoticz?

The Livolo dimmer is controlled by the RFXtrx433 with dim and bright commands.
Domoticz is using this function to set the dimmer to a dim level with a selection of 6 steps: 16, 33, 50, 66, 83 and 100%

Livolo does not have a set dim level.
The only way to set the dimmer to a dim level is to switch the module OFF and transmit several bright commands to put the dimmer module at the required dim level.

I did... they work fine, but there is only the Toggle option. You can't sent and OFF or ON. So no way to implement this switch in a scene without knowing its previous state. I know the Livolos have a MasterOff option... but haven't been able to implement it yet. I'm still waiting for my livolo remote to arrive... than I will see what exactly is the remote sending.

Hi! I tried witth rflinkgw. What i figured out, that when synced with domo and rflink I can send 0000 to switch all off. But I also have a remote from livolo and when syncing the switch with it, I can also send with the highest button on it an all off command. So I think its possible to send an unique OFF with this all-off feature when syncing it with several remotes or the sepcific code from the drop down fields. but when listing devices there a differences with the len in the id field and when learning the remote, all buttons do have the same ID... am I missing something? I also dont understand why the send commands are different on the serial output... the 2a switch is button 4 on my remote, but how the liv switches do know, that they are ment by the remote and why its not possible to configure them in the gui according to the learn-swith (which are different)...

I put switch type : On/off, Type: Livolo
This works , it pairs the Lovolo switch, but when i click on, it turns on,
when i click OFF it turns off and back on.

Anyone knows how to fix this?
