RPI/windows overkill

ok...question on overkill or not
ive got domoticz setup on my windows server....its a hp proliant box that runs that, my renmaing service and assosiated bash scripts for domoticz
i have mysensors and i plan to hookup ble presence monitoring....
catch is that server is out in the shed, which is a long way for repeaters on mysensors, and ethernet in the house isnt viable at the moment....
am i better off reinstalling on a RPI and running domoticz from there?
i see alot of other people are doing it.
guess a little more info
i plan over the coming years in intergrate dozens upon dozens of nodes and hopefully intergrate the entire house at some stage down to my soldering iron if i can....
so will i need the additional power? or is the RPI powerfull enough to handle it all?
