Xiaomi is known for making high quality items at low prices and they have recently started manufacturing different home automaton sensors.

Would it not be very nice if Domoticz could support the Xiaomi Mi Smart Home gateway and Xiaomi ZigBee sensors out-of-the-box someday?

Firstly wondering if there are plans for Xiaomi gateway integration in Domoticz? This apperars to be the gateway API but it is in Chinese:

I also read this guy created a basic test script to make Homey listen to the UDP API of the Xiaomi gateway, unfortunately it is unstable:

Secondly wondering if direct pairing and communication with Domoticz to all Xiaomi wireless sensors is possible if have USB transmitter?

It sounds as if their sensors use different ZigBee specification, as some use ZigBee HA, while others use either SE, ZLL, or ZigBee PRO.

Unfortunatly for us Xiaomi does not fully follow ZigBee standards for its devices, instead they use different specifications & protocols.


I read that there is now a third-party integration for Home Assistant that works with all Xiaomi sensors, plugs and wall switches:

As I understand this third-party integration even adds support for not just one but multiple Xiaomi Mi Smart Home gateways for redundacy.

That code from Xiaomi Hub component for HomeAssistant integration is available as open source on GitHub as developed by Rave (Lazcad):
